On the basis of their progress toward meeting the 12 Best Practices, NGLCs are designated as having reached one of two levels of achievement—the Prospective Level or the Leadership Level. The Floyd County College and Career Academy in Rome, Ga., was the first school in Georgia and only one of 12 nationwide to be designated a Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Next Generation Learning Community.
